QX-Drag&Drop is an XTension for QuarkXPress which allows users to drag and drop text items and pictures from Extensis Fetch or the Finder into QuarkXPress. Simply select an image in Fetch or the Finder, and drag the item to an open QuarkXPress document. QX-Drag&Drop will create either a new picture box or a text box at the location where the mouse button was released. In the case of an image, the picture box will be fit to the size of the picture. In the case of text, the text box will be drawn with initial dimensions of 200 by 200 points. If QuarkXPress is unable to handle the file type which was dropped on the document, an alert will be presented explaining that the particular file type could not be read.
Installation
IMPORTANT: In order for the installer to run properly, you must run it with your extensions off. You can do this by restarting while holding down the Shift key.
To install QX-Drag&Drop, simply double click on the QX-Drag&Drop Installer and follow the on-screen instructions. When installation is complete, launch QuarkXPress to load the new XTension.
Requirements
QX-Drag&Drop requires QuarkXPress 3.31 or above and System 7.5 and above. If it is being used with Extensis Fetch, you must have Fetch 1.5 or above.
